I am a veterinarian and have been a beekeeper for 13 years. I currently have twenty-five hives in Durango and Mancos and I have a special interest in treatment plans for varroa mites. I believe proper fall treatment and preparation can greatly reduce winter losses and have averaged a 12% winter loss in the last three years.
