Bear Fence Application

As a way of giving back to our members and protecting bees and bears, 4CBA will
pay up to $200 towards either a plug-in battery or a solar charger to energize a bear
fence. For the past 3 years, 4CBA has been able to protect eight apiaries in many parts
of our membership locations. These locations are available for visitation by our
members to view to help them set up their own fences. The Club uses the
installations as teaching moments. If selected, you may expect between 3 to 8
people at the installation Demonstration.

Bear Smart Durango can help provide wire, connectors, and instructions for building
a proper secure bear fence. Agritek (Brothers Fence) may help provide used T
posts.

Applications are due by March 17, 2024. Successful Applicants will be announced
at the March 21st meeting.

Funds will be released after the fence is installed completely, picture and receipt must
be submitted.
