Beginning beekeeping classes are taught by Tina Sebestyen, director of the Colorado Master Beekeeper Program and frequent contributor to the American Bee Journal and Bee Culture magazines. This two-day class series will cover everything you need to know to get started in beekeeping, as well as a basic understanding of 2nd-year management of honey bee colonies. Those who take these classes have a much better chance of success in beekeeping. It is great to take the classes before getting started, and many people take the classes a second time, after they have completed their first full year with their bees, and get even more out of it. This class is an approved pre-requisite for entry into the Colorado Master Beekeeper Program at the Apprentice Level, for those who want to go on with better education.
