SUMMARY:Beginning Beekeeping Class
DESCRIPTION:. \n\nThis year’s Beginning Beekeeping Class will be held on March 8th\, 6-8 PM and 9th\, 9 AM-2PM at the La Plata County Fairgrounds (and via Zoom). The cost is $60 (free to veterans). Our teacher is Tina Sebestyen. She has been keeping bees since 2007 (that’s 17 full seasons). She was mentored by “old guys” and learned in the school of hard knocks. She founded 4CBA and was its president for 8 years. She also founded the Colorado Master Beekeeper Program and was its program coordinator for 5 years. She is a frequent contributor to Bee Culture magazine and the American Bee Journal\, and speaks all over the US. This class is an accredited pre-requisite to the CSBA Master Beekeeper Program.
