Top bar hives for sale: They hold about 42 bars,18″ -18 1/2″ wide, and are 12″ deep, so the comb has the same number of square inches that a Langsroth frame has. Entrances are on the ends, there are landing boards, and some have entrance reducers. All have hinged bottoms and metal, peaked roofs. Some top bars may be missing. $185. I have 10 dry land acres at the foothills of the HD Mountains, 4 miles southeast of Bayfield. I’m an avid organic gardener with young fruit trees, and a variety of gardens. The one thing I am still in need of is more pollinators. Across and down the road is a large alfalfa field and I believe that my place is a great place to add beehives.
